Roscoe Moss Company is the only company in the world that produces casing designed specifically for water wells.
Our casings are fabricated in sizes to most efficiently accommodate pump assemblies and are manufactured from steel alloys proved best suited for ground water development. A summary of steel types and applications are shown below:

| Stainless: Types 304 and 316L |
For water wells where corrosive elements limit the
effective life of carbon, copper-bearing, and HSLA steels. Stainless steel is particularly
resistant to the detrimental effects of hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and saline
water. Removal of incrustation by acidizing, a method not recommended for some other
steels, may be accomplished in stainless steel screens. |
| HSLA |
Corrosion resistant, HSLA (High-Strength
Low-Alloy) steel casings and screens are designed and produced for use in water wells
where corrosion resistance, strength, and durability are important requirements. Stronger
than carbon or copper-bearing steel, HSLA casing and screen is an excellent choice for
deep, large diameter wells. Although more corrosion resistant than carbon or
copper-bearing steel, in wells where severe corrosive elements are present, an analysis
must be made before selecting this material over stainless steel. |

For use in water wells where resistance to corrosion is an important requirement. Although not as corrosion resistant as HSLA or stainless steel, copper-bearing casings and screens have proven to last longer than other carbon steel products. |

All MossWell casing is fabricated is by the spiral process utilizing double, submerged-arc welding. This method offers special advantages including; accurate geometrical tolerances, increased strength (due to wall thickness reinforcement of the fusion weld), and assurance of full weld penetration of the seam.
Casings ends are generally prepared for field assembly with factory attached weld collars. This provides greater joint strength and economy than possible with other types of joints. Additionally, ease and speed of installation are greater compared with plain end welded connections.
Water Well Screen
No single screen type is appropriate for all
wells. Roscoe Moss Company is the only manufacturer in the world producing shutter screen,
continuous slot screen, bridge slot screen, and slotted pipe. This ensures that Roscoe
Moss Company's customers receive unbiased technical assistance directed toward solving
their specific problems.
