Roscoe Moss Company Storm FloŽ Screen

Certified Full Capture Design Linear Radial Gross Solids Removal Device

The Storm Flo® Screen is a tested and proven effective litter and debris capture device. As stormwater enters the device, the debris is captured within the screen's interior and water exits outward through the peripheral louvered openings. Storm Flo® Screens can be installed as an in-line or end-of-pipe filtration system. Cleaning the screen is easily accomplished by opening the top hatches and removing the captured debris with a vacuum truck.

Storm Flo® Screen

Design

Storm Flo® Screen is designed to operate efficiently and effectively under a wide range of hydraulic conditions. Stormwater treatment system configurations can be designed to integrate Storm Flo® Screen with new or existing infrastructure. Screen designs are based on site specific criteria including pipe or outfall diameter, estimated flow rate, litter loading rate, and owner's desired maintenance frequency.
  • Manufactured of stainless steel Types 304 or 316L, or galvanized steel
  • Utilizes modular well screen with 0.25-inch nominal openings
  • Screen diameters available from 12 to 72 inches
  • Screen lengths customized to suit hydraulic and loading requirements. Modular units are available in individual lengths from 5 to 40 feet
  • Flow rating for each section of 5-ft length of screen range from 3 to 12 cfs when 50% full
  • Designed to convey captured solids to the end of the device leaving the entrance unobstructed
  • Screens can be installed on an open pad or below grade within a concrete vault
  • The screens are designed to capture and separate nutrient-contributing organic material from stormwater ponds and channels
  • The screens completely drain thereby reducing opportunity for vector breeding

Storm Flo® Screen

Benefits

Storm FloŽ Screen is the simple solution for an easy to maintain, competitively priced system, proven effective for removal of solids from stormwater.
  • The design has been successfully tested for compliance with the trash TMDL established in Los Angeles County, California and has received "Full Capture" certification
  • Versatile design accommodates wide range of hydraulic and site conditions such as variable flow rates, changes in litter volume, and irregular maintenance frequency
  • Screens and ancillary parts are constructed of durable, corrosion resistant stainless or galvanized steel to maximize service life expectancy
  • Storm Flo® Screen performs as a dry BMP. Louvered openings allow water drain from the screen thereby eliminating standing water and opportunity the vector and nutrient generation
  • Only maintenance requirement is periodic cleaning which is easily accomplished with a vacuum truck
